Top 5 Winter nail polish

17:01 0 Comments A+ a-

Throughout this winter i have been using  5 nail polishes in particular. Although some of them are not your typical wintery colours i have just been loving wearing them.

Essie - It's Genius
Nails Inc - Brook Street
Nails Inc - Victoria and Albert
Nails Inc Basil Street
Barry M - Lychee

Essie's It's Genius, Nails Inc Victoria and Albert and Nails Inc Brook street are normally shades i would wear any time of year. But for some reason i have been really drawn to using them this month. Nails Inc Basil Street and Barry M Lychee are two shades that i would not typically choose to wear. But this year im loving the nude look. Whether it be nude nails or nude lips i just cant get enough.

What are your top winter nail polishes? Have you tried any new shades recently?

Review: Stila Eyes are the window Soul palette

17:21 0 Comments A+ a-

I'm the type of person you see who always wears some sort of brown/neutral eye. After seeing other bloggers using the Stila Soul palette i had to get it for myself. It was screaming my name and for 30 pounds i couldn't say no! It is nice to treat yourself once in a while.
When this finally arrived in the post, i opened it and instantly fell in love! I love everything about it, from the mirror like packaging to the 12 shadows and the fact that it has a little booklet which gives you 3 eye looks to try out. I love the fact that it has got a large mirror that fills the underside of the lid.
The Stila Soul palette is very versatile, it has shadows to suit everyone and every skin tone, whether you like to keep your eyeshadow light or dark. You wont be disappointed with the colour range.
The shadows are very pigmented and glide on with minimal effort.
This palette would be perfect for taking away with you on a little break or when you go on holiday. You wouldn't need to pack any other shadows because you can create endless looks with this one.
I think this must be my all time favourite eye palette and i think im going to be in love with it for a very very very long time.

Have you tried out anything new? What brand of eyeshadow do you like best?

Top 3 Winter lipsticks

17:00 0 Comments A+ a-

As its still winter, i thought why not share with you guys what lipsticks ive been loving wearing this winter season. I've been heading for 3 lipsticks in particular, the No7 moisture drench lipstick in Soft tulip, Rimmel Kate 07 and the Maxfactor gloss in Captivating ruby.

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that my trusty No7 is in these top 3. I post about it enough on here. But i just had to put it in there, because i have used it a lot this winter. I cant rave about this lipstick enough!! I absolutely the shade, it glides on so smooth and effortlessly and i think it really suits my pale skin.

Over December and the Christmas period ive headed for the Maxfactor gloss. Although this isn't a lipstick and i normally hate wearing lip glosses, it was just a must for me as it was the perfect red shade for me, nothing too in your face or bold, but if you wanted to make it bolder you could just keep layering it.

And finally, over January ive been drawn to my Rimmel Kate lipstick. I don't think this shade is sold any more which really sucks because its such a nice colour. What i love about this is that it feels so refreshing when i wear it. Its a lovely neutral browny shade that pretty much goes with anything.

What lipsticks have you been loving this winter?

Budget Skincare!

14:22 2 Comments A+ a-

Now as its January most of you have probably spent all your money on Christmas and then bam....you've ran out of cleanser. So ive put together some budget skincare brands (tried and tested by me) that i hope you will love.

All the ranges are good all rounders, accept some wipes i bought, but more of that when i get down to that brand.
Loreal
Now for me the Loreal triple active moisturiser stood out the most. It left me skin feeling so baby soft and nourished and for 3.99 was a total bargain from Savers.
The Loreal skin perfection micellar water was very gentle on my skin and came in at 2.49 from Tesco
The wipes were another one of my favourite Loreal products they were so gentle and smooth on my skin and for 1.74 were well worth the money from Tesco
Lastly the Loreal skin perfection cleansing and perfecting milk the only down side to this was it came out of the bottle too quick, so be careful when pouring it. But still a very gentle and soothing cleanser for 2.99 from Savers
So for spending 12 pounds on these 4 things youve got a very balanced and gentle skin care routine. Alls that is missing is some eye and night cream and youve got yourself a fantastic bundle of products.

Nivea
My favourite out of the Nivea range was by far the micellar water. It was amazing on my sensitive skin, wasn't harsh at all and was nice and refreshing. 3,99 from Tesco
My second favourite was the cleansing face wash, it was very gentle, moisturising and you felt clean afterwards. 2.89 from Savers
Then there's the Pure and natural moisturiser, i didnt find it anything special like the Loreal one, but it did leave my skin soft and moisturised. I think i got this from Band M at 2.99
Lastly the Nivea wipes. These things are horrible. They are so rough and course on your skin, i would definitely not recommend these. 1.50 from Tesco
Another skin care range for just under 12 pounds, for the price of things you cant go wrong, i would recommend using some different Nivea face wipes though if you have sensitive skin like i do.

Garnier
After finding these Garnier wipes in Asda on offer i decided to give them a go and what a good decision that was. I don't think i would ever change brand in wipes again, unless there is something that are as good as these. They are super soft and gentle on the skin and make no effort in taking your eye make up. 1.50 from Asda on offer they were. Definitely go out and try some!
I also loved using the Garnier eye roll on, it worked wonders on my dark circles and was quite refreshing and easily massaged in with the ball applicator. This was the most expensive thing at 5.00 but well worth the money i reckon.
The moisturiser was very thick kind of like a cream but it was so nourishing and left your skin soft to the touch. 1.99 from Tesco
The cleanser did its job aswell, removed dirt and make up with ease. 1.99 from Savers
Then finally the famous Garnier Micellar water. To be honest this wasnt one of my favourite micellar waters i used. but it still worked and left my skin refreshed and clean after i used it, and at just 1.00 from Savers who could really fault it. What an absolute bargain!
Wow i cant believe how many of these have come in at just under 12 pounds. But this time you got 5 products with your money instead of 4. Another all round great range, which is budget friendly.

Simple
I think this has to be one of my all time budget friendly skin care brands because it is so calm and gentle on sensitive skin. My grandma swears by the stuff.
Just everything about this range is good, so i don't really need to go into detail, its all gentle and refreshing on the skin, it has no smell to it which is usually what irritates sensitive skin. With Simple you cant go wrong.
Simple kind to skin cleansing wipes 3.25 from Superdrug. If you seen these on offer anywhere be sure to pick some up because you will be getting a great deal.
Simple Micellar water 4.49 from Superdrug
Simple light moisturiser 3.99 from Superdrug
Simple cleansing lotion 3.29 from Superdrug
Simple eye cream 1.74 from Tesco

If you find any of the simple range on offer be sure to pick it up, its great stuff and you will be saving yourself even more pennies. For the range this comes in at 17 pounds but it is well worth the money. And im sure you can catch yourself some bargains out there too.

But the best thing you can do for your skin is drink plenty of water. I certainly am guilty of not doing enough of this.

What do you look for in skincare products? Are you good at finding bargains?

Beauty Haul!

18:45 0 Comments A+ a-

Ive only recently heard about the fragrancedirect website, so after checking it out a few times i decided to try it out for myself. OH MY GOD what Bargains they have on it. I picked up the 3 nail polishes above and the eos lip balm and in total it all came to about 15 pound. I cant believe how cheap it all was. I definitely recommend you all go check it out, you wont be disappointed!
After seeing other bloggers using the still soul palette i just knew i had to get this for myself. The colours are so me!! A neutral brown palette and oh my im in love with the rose gold packaging on this, its amazing!!!
Then we just have some bits of make up that i needed to buy because i was running out. I cant quite decide whether i like this Revlon foundation for normal/dry skin or not. It seems to cling to my dry patches of skin, but the colour is a perfect match to my skin.
I normally buy the Avon brow duo but i wanted to try something different this time, so i found this Loreal brow duo in boots and decided to give it a go and to be honest i really like it. You get a little brush and mini tweezers with it too....sooooo cute!

Have you fallen in love with any new purchases? What brand of brow care do you love the most?

What's in my make up bag?

19:15 0 Comments A+ a-

This is something im always keen to read about on other blog posts. I'm probably too nosey but i just love seeing what make up people use. If someone posts a product that i think looks really good i totally want to go out and buy it so i can try it out for myself.
So i decided to put together my own.
Now this isn't going to be as exciting as ones ive seen but its what im using, i guess im just kind of stuck in a routine. I use most of this make up daily, mainly Monday to Friday which is when i work because i roughly know how long it will take me to get ready. This means i can have extra time in bed. WOOOOOOO!!!!! If you knew how much i need and love sleep then this is a total bonus for me.

  • My make up bag was from next. I love the rose gold zip!
  • Rimmel lasting finish 25hr foundation in ivory
  • Rimmel wake me up concealer in ivory
  • Mac kohl liner in smolder
  • Avon brow duo in soft brown
  • Rimmel brow this way
  • Avon eye primer in light beige
  • Rimmel glam eyes mono in smokey quartz
  • Loreal superliner superstar in black
  • Maybelline lash sensational mascara in extra black
  • Mua blush shimmer stick

What's in your make up bag? Do you have a favourite brand?
