Book Review: Me before You

I'm back with my second book review. Most of you have either probably read the book yourself or watched the film of this book, but i thought i'd do a little review on it anyway. Me before You was a real tear jerker for me and im not really one for crying over a book.

This book is about a woman named Lou Clark who loses her job at a cafe and ends up a carer to Will Traynor who was involved in a motorcycle accident and was left quadriplegic.
Without giving too much away the real reason Lou was hired to become Will's carer came apparent. Lou and Will soon fall in love but a difficult decision soon lies ahead. What will Lou do?

A book about love and heartbreak. This book makes you realise just how lucky we are and how much your life can be changed. If you loved 'All the Bright Places'  you will love this just as much. For me this book was much better than the film and if you haven't read this yet then you must. Definitely a book that you will struggle to put down and before you know it you will have finished it and be filled with emotion.

What kind of books do you love?

I have a serious thing for stationary and im always buying cute pens whenever i go into Paperchase.
Until recently i'd never heard of Typo which is an Australian decor/ stationary shop. After seeing someone mention this and that there is a UK website i just had to check it out. This website has super cheap and cute stationary and home wear items. After looking around the site i came to the decision that i just needed to buy some of there stuff. Pencil me in 6pk wooden pencils - £4.20

Review: Antipodes skincare

17:02 0 Comments A+ a-

As i'm sat writing this i'm currently listening to Conor Maynard's cover album. Who else has been super excited for this? He has such an amazing voice and is so god damn beautiful too. I have a serious crush on him right now. Anyone else?

This week i purchased two skincare items from Antipodes. I'm desperately trying to get my skin back to a good condition and as i'm now 25 i thought it would be a good idea to start introducing some kind of anti wrinkle skincare into my regime. This is wear both these two products come in.

First up the Antipodes Divine face oil Organic Avocado oil + Rosehip. I've never really used a face oil before but i thought this would be good to use especially because my skin has been so dry. This oil does such an amazing job on your skin and is perfect for using on your delicate areas like around your eyes. The only thing im not a lover of is the smell. I've only been using this since Wednesday and can already see a massive difference to my skin.

Also i've been using the Antipodes Avocado Pear nourishing night cream. I love the thick consistency of this and a little really does go a long way. It leaves your skin super soft and nourished even the morning after. I love the aromatic smell of this it makes me feel so sleepy at night which is a bonus to help me sleep. Even though i've only been using this since Wednesday also i have noticed a difference in my wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead, so i'm definitely going to keep using this.

What have you been using to fight the early signs of ageing?

Back blogging and goals

As you're probably aware i haven't been very active on the blogging and social media front lately. I've not been myself and haven't wanted to post something half hearted and that i'm not happy with. But i'm back and raring to go, and to help me get back on track I've set myself some goals i would like to achieve this month.

  • Start blogging twice a week again
  • Be more social online
  • Push myself to run further
  • Start looking after my skin properly again
  • Get my hair dyed
  • Find a new series on Netflix to watch
  • Try out new make up looks
Have you set yourselves any goals?
